Working at Avidyne as a Software Engineer

Working at Avidyne as a Software Engineer

Avidyne Software Engineer Fatbrowne avidyne

Avidyne

I worked at Avidyne as a Software Engineer for two years. I started working right out of college from July 2007 until June 2009.
It was a fantastic place to learn about business, programming, and aviation. I was working with a team of the best and the brightest every day. I got first hand experience of wrapping up deadlines and delivering the product on time as expected.
The one thing that I really appreciate from working at Avidyne were the great friendships that I developed while working there. The skills I learned were secondary. I met a lot of great people and I still keep in contact with them on a regular basis.
During the time I was working at Avidyne as a Software Engineer I primarily was focused on developing Entegra 2 also known as Entegra Release 9. Entegra 2 (or E2) is an amazing integrated aircraft instrumentation system which is the follow up to the original Avidyne Entegra. The original Avidyne Entegra was released in 2003. A lot of time and energy was put into E2 because it was not until April 2009 that E2 was finally certified and released.
